NewsScan
NewsScan (NewsScan.com) was one of the oldest mailing lists on the Internet covering information technology. The list was edited and written by John Gehl and Suzanne Douglas, previously the long time editors of the EduPage mailing list.
NewsScan was historically one of the largest and best mailing lists about information technology, and Gehl and Douglas frequently received awards and tributes from various organizations for their work.
The NewsScan newsletter consisted of a couple of pages of one paragraph summaries of recent and interesting developments in information technology, mailed to subscribers five times a week.
Gehl and Douglas also went on to edit the ACM Ubiquity forums.
